eventhough I burn the majority of of my daytime hours on the web trying to play online games like zynga poker or petville, I still like to spend some spare time to look at a number of information sites occasionally and I’m proud to report this newest article is actually rather good quality and significantly more desirable than half the various poor quality stuff I read today , anyways i’m going to play a couple of hands of facebook poker

Wow, two sweaters! It looks like you got a great deal on the Debbie Bliss too. Hmmm…interesting about the roving. I learn so much from your blog (I do not spin at all so it is always nice to find these little things on your blog….it makes me feel less fiber challenged).

I’m going to have to add the butterfly lace cardigan to my list of “to be knits” as well – it’s just lovely!

Cherylz dear, I can’t believe that you are already asking about a finished project! It took me 1.5 hours just to get the cast on and first row right! Ack! And then there is lace! It may be awhile. I’m not sure about my gauge, but I’m going for it anyway. Cross your fingers for me!

Lovely pattern! I like that butterfly lace cropped cardigan. It is much more flattering than the “other” shrug, in my humble opinion. Can’t wait to see final product!

Braiding roving is just like braiding hair. You have to lay the roving out so that there are three lengths (connected once at top and once at bottom…imagine a really long ’s’ figure) and holding the three lengths together (I put them under my chin) you just start to braid. Occasionally you have to shake out the twisty part. (It twists because it’s connected.) It’s just that simple.

Having said that, I mostly chain my yarn too, just because it’s easier. The colors march neatly in order. But the braid shows the colors as they variegate, a lovely option.

Yeah, 2 sickies, though one is dubious. Can’t really tell, but decided to err on the side of not having to go to school to pick up a sick child. Which reminds me that I have not called either school yet to tell them that they are not there today. I am so not a fan of that, but I suppose that is to ensure that children haven’t been abducted without our knowledge on the way to school.
I am going to attempt to make the butterfly lace cardigan shown above with my green yarn. I did a little swatch, but I haven’t measure for gauge yet as it is still drying. The lace is pretty, it really does look like little butterflies.
Well, back to the cleaning…
