Tomorrow is the start of the Tour de Fleece! Okay – I’ll admit that i am having a difficult time keeping up with all the posting on Ravelry but this is what I know about it:
1. It starts on Saturday, July 3 and lasts for 3 weeks
2. One must spin everyday
3. One should post some stuff somewhere on the internet to show off said spinning
4. One must at some point during the Tour challenge oneself to try something different
5. I donated a prize to the tour!
Tonight I have to finish some stuff so I can have “clean” bobbins for tomorrow. I’m currently spinning (aka “training for the Tour”) some superwash bfl in Stained Glass. I’m going to have 2 skeins. The first is done and looks like this:
It is a 3 ply and comes in at 9 soft and squishy wraps per inch.
For the Tour, I’ve joined Team Phat Fiber.
Do you want to see my yummy Phat Stash???
I have stuff from Moonwood Farm, Beesybee Fibers, Mama Jude’s, and By Rebekah with Love. I won’t write about them yet as my intent is to post about them as I go. And no, I don’t know where I’m going to start!
I don’t really know much about the Tour de France except that Lance Armstrong is competing and that yellow jerseys are good. I do hope to learn more in the next 3 weeks, if only I could figure out the TV schedule!
To my fellow competitors, Bonne chance!
