The day started with the Lady of the Lake rising up out of Glover’s Pond to give us her magical knitting needles. Forget Excaliber – the world can be saved with knitting. (I have a feeling this will be a recurring theme on this website.)
We did have a magical and relaxing weekend. I have quite a bit that I’d like to share – but I think it is going to have to come out on its own time (in drips and drabs, if you will) as I have much catching up to do at home. I just wanted to write a quick entry to let everyone know that we had a great Fibre Fallout Retreat! The guild members of the North Country Spinners were all friendly and chatty and made us feel very welcome. Besides the wonderful hospitality, the classes were great. As a matter of fact, think it would be an understatement to say that the classes we took were exceptional.
On our trip down to NJ, Elizabeth and I listened to an episode of Cast On (I think it may be #35) that had this spoof at the beginning about stalking Knitwear Designers. It was so funny – but that is exactly what we were doing- stalking the elusive Fiber Artist! We were officially stalking Rita Buchanan, but now that we have met Annie Modesitt, we will probably stalk her in the future and I would advise anyone who gets a chance to try it too. It is SO worth it!
Who shall we stalk next??? Any suggestions?
Ok, I’m writing way more than I intended to as “I have miles to go before I sleep.”
I leave you with this photo of E and me in front of “Lodge A.” What do you think? Do we just have to be sisters?

Wow, what an awesome picture, I just love it. Glad you had a good time. Yea you do have to be sisters.
Wow, that is a gorgeous picture. No wonder you were able to relax and recharge! And yes, you and LFG do look related. Good picture of the two of you too.
And I am very impressed with the poem reference. You do good links! Always fun to follow them.
Have fun stalking!!!!
aww this wasn’t a corny entry!!!
i really thought that i had read your last entry, too, but it turns out i missed it. now i have ot read the comments there and see what everyone thought about the prom night joke hahaha. i didn’t make it up myself, tho, i’m not witty enough.
how was combination knitting? i mentioned about combination knitting today to Cynthia but i think i must not have explained it very well cos she didn’t really get it haha.
Can’t wait to hear all about your weekend. I’m absolutely not surprised that the classes were fab. Cute picture of you two!
Wow, I thought that shirt was flatering, it is pretty (green and PURPLE with flared sleaves) but I guess that it is not my size and this really does matter. I had a great weekend with my sissy but upon my return my lovely husband ripped the carpeting off the stairs and refinished the unders and it is much nicer! He is off next week – can’t wait to see what other projects he has in mind, besides paying $210 for a cord of wood delivered because he is nostalgic. Doesn’t that seem like a lot of money. I’m rambling. I’m at work, but it is after hours, I’m waiting for my Yoga class to start – I suppose I could go watch the soccer game outside but I’ve been away from the blogs too long – what am I saying.
