FAQs
1.) How did you come up with the name Spincerely yours?
A few years ago, I borrowed a spinning wheel from a friend of LFG and when I wrote the thank you card, I closed it with Spincerely yours. LFG thought that was really cool and it stuck and we both continued to use it in our fiber correspondences. Last summer she starting talking about using it in a website and I thought about it and discussed it with her and we agreed that I could use it as a title for my blog.
2.) You talk about a lot of people in your blog using nicknames, just who are all these people anyway?
Here is a handy dandy reference guide:
IHA aka Inhouse Agent. He is my husband of 16+ years. We met at College at the University of Hartford. He is currently frantically studying to take the California Bar Exam at the end of February.
LFG aka Llama Farm Girl. She is my sister who is 2.5 years younger than I am. She currently has 6 llamas and is responsible from leading me down the slick slope of fiber addiction.
Junior Agents K, J, and B aka the girls. My three daughters who are 12, 10, and 8. They are leading me down the slick slope of insanity.
Croppy aka Crops a Lot aka Agent J. My friend Jenny who tries her best to keep me sane. Or rather we try our best to keep each other sane. Sometimes it doesn’t work and we have to resort to long periods of scrapbooking for relief.
Knitcole, Stichadara, Cherylz, and Sarah. They are my Mad Knitting friends that I met when I worked at the LYS. They are truly mad fiber addicts, and I love them dearly.
3.) Is it true that you are younger than 2 of your Junior Agents? Yes, indeed, that is very true. Junior Agents K and J have had more birthdays than I have.
4.) What is the deal with this Agent thing anyway? The agent thing is actually double-pronged. IHA is a Patent Agent and I am a Secret Agent therefore how can the Little Agents be anything but Little Agents? My career as a Secret Agent began by planning secret scrapbooking missions with Agent J aka Crops a Lot.
5.) Why do you write a blog? I wanted to start writing a blog for many reasons. One because I just love blogs — I love reading about other peoples lives and what they do and what they think, so naturally I would want to try it myself. I also wanted to learn more about web pages and how they work thinking it could someday be a skill that could help me get a job. More than anything though, I wanted to practice my writing. I have always procrastinated at doing anything that involved a lot of writing and my grammar and spelling skills were quickly deteriorating after 8 years of being a SAHM. I think I’m going to have to blog for a long time, however, to truly note any improvement.
6.) If you were trapped on an uninhabited island and you could only bring 3 knitting supplies, what would they be? I would bring a sheep, a sharp knife, and some carving wood. That should keep me busy for a very long time.
7.) If you were trapped on an uninhabited island and you could only bring 4 scrapbooking supplies, what would they be? I would bring my personal paper trimmer, hermies, Mod Podge (cuz I just love that stuff and that is all), and something to make swirlies. (I know – how will I do anything without the paper – I guess I will have to make my own using the sheep from answer number 6.).
8.) Do you knit more by day or by night? I probably knit more at night while watching TV. Sometimes I do knit during the day, but I usually feel guilty that I should be doing something else. I do try to have portable knitting projects that I can take around with me in the day for when I’m waiting for things.
9.) What is the largest amount of scrapbooking pages you have ever completed in one session? I can’t really remember, but “back in the day” I could do a lot more than I can now maybe up to 14? I wonder if it is somehow related to switching the the digital camera, I just don’t have those vast number of printed photos to push me along.
10.) What is the largest item you have ever knit? Let’s see – I think that would be the vest that I made a couple of years ago for IHA. It is the slightly felted vest from The Purl Stitch. In terms of the largest in just the sheer presence of the project and the most work, that would be the Simple Knitted Bodice.
11.) Which hobby do you think you spend more time on? Currently, that would be blogging!
That is it for now, this page will be updated as you ask more questions so please feel free to ask away!

Hmmm… I have more questions – but don’t want to take them all in case other readers are planning to contribute. More later –
Oh no, I knew I was in trouble if you got wind that I was looking for more questions! Well this will certainly give me something to work on while waiting for the bus to go down the road everyday.
Sheep Poo paper?! OH my!!
What color are your ice skates?
If you were an Olympic Ice-skater what would your specialty be?
If you had five children (gasp) what would the names be for the other two?
What are the Statistics for CA (are you studying up?)… state bird? state flower? climate?
Mickey or Minnie?
Chocolate or Vanilla?
Do you put mini marshmallows in your hot chocolate?
OK there, now you are just getting silly!
1.) My ice skates are white.
2.) If I was an Olympic Skater, I think I would like to do ice dancing because then I would have a partner and I wouldn’t have to practice alone all the time.
3.) I am NOT going to have anymore children, but I will answer this question because naming children is the best part of having them! Currently they would be named Brent and Freya. But since we really only have girls, they would be Freya and Delta Dawn.
4.)I don’t know very much about CA, I have to start studying for our trip, it is true.
5.) I’m also not much of a Disney fan. I don’t really like Micky or Minnie. Hoops and Yoyo have my heart right now.
6.)I like both Chocolate and Vanilla, but I do really really really love chocolate.
Thought I’d ask a couple more in the spirit of your commenting craze. So, things I’d like to know:
1. What color of cardstock do you think is a staple that you can’t possibly do without? Which do you use the most?
2. What is your favorite mini-book project that you’ve ever made?
3. Why do knitters use different kneedles? What is your favorite kneedle to kwork kwith?
That’s it for now… looking forward to seeing your answers!
Oh you sure are a crazy lady there dear, Heats Ups! So the answers are as follows:
1.) Light yellow – like a buttercup. Always useful! I probably do use that the most – the one paper color that I always have to restock!
2.) I have yet to complete a minibook but I did start one for our friends that moved to Georgia.
3.) Knitters use different kneedles for different tasks. There are single points (which you have used), double points, and circulars; all of different lengths. It is kind of like scrapbookers use different kinds of adhesives to get different kinds of jobs done. But generally knitters kneed kneedles of various diameters to get gauge which is stitches per a unit of measure. Gauge is very important in making projects such as sweaters that are fitted, but not so important in things like scarves and blankets. In those you just need a kneedle size that makes the yarn a lovely fabric and the stitches are not too tight and not too loose. Kneedless to say, knitters kneed knumerous kneedles konstantly.
If you are under the age of 21 u should call the cops and tell them u were drinking underage and tell them what your friend did, If u are 21 then u should drink more responsibly and find more trust worthy friends.
